Mommy-son morning

yesterday umma and isaiah had a fun morning out in the city!

first we jumped on the city bus which took us straight to isaiah's favorite structure of the city--- this horse statue!

then we walked over to the front of the art museum.  stopped by these fountains on the way.

then, at the front of the art museum we got to hang out with isaiah's second favorite city things--- the lion statues!

next we walked over to crown fountain.  it was still early in the morning so isaiah just wanted to walk around and splash a little.

 

 

he ended up splashing a little more than either of us expected so our next stop was Old Navy for some new pants, haha.

And then we went to a cream puff store called Beard Papas for some unbelievably good dessert.  We bought extra to take some home for appah.

 

After that we jumped on the el train back towards home and had a yummy lunch at yolk!

what a fun, exciting day!

Wedding weekend

sam sahmchon and sharon soomoh got married last weekend!  the kiddos made for a very cute flowergirl/ring bearer combo.  isaiah was a pro walking down the aisle--- he even helped the other ring bearer walk by holding his hand the way down.  when he got to the front isaiah whispered in umma's ear that he wishes he could do it every day :)  christina needed a little bit of help walking down from appah, who held her hand all the way down.

treasure hunt

umma set up a cool and fun treasure hunt for isaiah today!  there were clues all over the house that he had to read and follow to get to a new thomas the train toy.  it is so much fun now that he can read!

The kids have so much fun playing together!!

Easter

happy easter!  we had tons of fun on easter sunday.

first we went to church and had yet ANOTHER egg hunt!  the weather was gorgeous and the kiddos got to pick tons of eggs.

 

next we had easter brunch with some friends.  and of course... ANOTHER EGG HUNT!  here are some of the kiddos lined up getting ready to find eggs.  (Isaiah is in the striped shirt looking down.  I don't know why Christina is sitting so far away from the other kids).

  

Finally I leave you with a private performance of "Have you seen the easter bunny" by Isaiah.  He was feeling very shy about it so in the middle he asks me to 1) look away 2) hold my hand to my ear to show that I'm still listening and 3) not to applaud at the end and make a big deal.  what a funny kid.
